THE LINK BETWEEN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ANIMAL ABUSE: 

PROTECTING THE WHOLE FAMILY

Please join us for a webinar LIADV is hosting in conjunction with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office B.E.A.S.T Unit on October 11th.  During this webinar, we will discuss the link between domestic violence an animal abuse, the increased risk to the community as a whole when animal abuse is taking place and how LIADV and the District Attorney’s Office is working to bring safety to all members of the family and, community at large. This webinar is open to all; please share with friends and family.

Paws for a Cause will raise awareness of the link between domestic violence and animal abuse, and raise funds to support LIADV's life-saving services.

LIADV is the only shelter on Long Island dedicated survivors of domestic violence and their companion animals. This includes dogs, cats and pocket pets.

To date, we have helped hundred's of pets gain safety. During an average year, we directly assist 4,000 individuals with counseling, advocacy, job placement and shelter.
