A letter from a client to her L.I. Against Domestic Violence counselor:
“You were a Ray of Hope”
I don’t know if you remember me, but I think of you so very often. You helped me tremendously with my recovery from the abuse I endured.
I just wanted to reach out to say thank you, because the tools you gave me empowered me. You guided me to know the power I possessed within me. You also taught me to listen to my inner voice. I released the feeling of shame and embraced the beautiful gift of empowerment.
I now have my life back. You were a ray of hope in what seemed like a hopeless situation. You will forever be a part of my story and healing.
With Love - D.
When our clients reach out to us for the first time, they are living in some of the darkest days of their lives. Our role is to help them to find their inner light and empower them to let it grow. That light can grow into a fire, and fuel a bright future filled with hope. A future that is free of violence, that is a future we all deserve. We cultivate hope, and so can you.
Every donation, YOUR donation, provides a light in a dark situation
