addressing all of the needs of victims and survivors
Services we provide
LI Against Domestic Violence works with survivors to thoroughly explore all options and services available to them while keeping safety as our priority; not all options/services are appropriate, safe or, what a survivor feels is best for them. We respect our clients’ decision-making and support them on whatever path they choose to embark upon in the timeframe in which they feel comfortable.
24 Hour Hotline (631)666-8833

Shelter
Our Safe Harbor Shelter provides a safe haven for survivors, children and companion animals who are feeling their homes to escape domestic violence and have limited or no other safe options. Please call (631)666-8833 to access our shelter.
Advocacy
We place an advocate in all seven Suffolk County Police Department Precincts and make vital victim services available immediately following a violent incident.
Counseling
Survivors of abusive relationships can benefit from the support of trained counselors to identify and deal with their emotions and gain healthy coping tools.
Vocational Advocacy & Financial Literacy
Through the Vocational Advocacy Program, we provide services to help victims enhance their work skills to enter or re-enter the job market. VAP assists clients to identify their employment goals and achieve long-term employment.
Legal Services
We employ a staff attorney dedicated to providing legal consultations and legal services to survivors for Family Court matters of orders of protection, child custody and visitation. Our attorney is knowledgeable and well versed in the complex unique needs of survivors and the court cases they require representation in.
